WINDERMERE PACKAGE SERVICE
Whole-home water softeners in Windermere
A whole-home salt-based water softener exchanges hardness minerals for sodium or potassium ions to reduce scale-forming hardness throughout the plumbing it serves. It is one part of our $2,999* Windermere package, paired with under-sink reverse osmosis and standard installation.
Included in the $2,999* softener + under-sink RO package with standard installation; the advertised price is for both systems together, not this component alone.

A correctly sized ion-exchange softener reduces calcium and magnesium hardness. That can reduce mineral scale on fixtures and in compatible appliances, but it is not a drinking-water purifier and does not make broad contaminant-removal or health claims. The under-sink RO in the package has a separate job at one drinking-water tap.
Hardness varies by water source and can vary over time. Start with the provider shown on your water bill and useful water information rather than assuming every Windermere address has the same conditions. The Town says it does not provide water or sewage; Town residents may use personal wells or Orange County Utilities, while the larger postal area includes unincorporated addresses. Provider information does not size equipment for an individual home.
Sizing for household flow and hardness
Sizing should consider measured hardness, household occupancy, peak flow and expected water use. Capacity labels alone do not establish efficient operation. Ask how the proposed settings, usable capacity and regeneration frequency relate to the information provided for your home.
The exact model, resin quantity, control valve and documented performance will be identified in the written quote before purchase. No particular manufacturer, certification or warranty length is promised on this page. Private wells need a separate discussion of water testing and treatment needs.
Standard installation in Windermere
The $2,999* package includes a whole-home salt-based softener, under-sink RO and standard installation for a suitable utility-water home. Standard installation requires accessible compatible plumbing, adequate equipment space, and drain and power access where needed. Nonstandard plumbing, electrical or access work is quoted before agreement.
Our sales team asks installation questions established with our plumbers so the scope can be confirmed in advance. No separate pre-installation visit is required. Once details are confirmed, the installer can arrive, complete the agreed work, review operation and leave without a preliminary visit.
Salt, regeneration and maintenance
A salt-based softener needs ongoing salt or potassium replenishment and uses water during regeneration. Review the selected system’s settings, expected salt and water use, and how to recognize an empty brine tank or an operating fault. Running costs depend on water conditions, usage and equipment settings.
Keep the brine tank and surrounding area accessible. Follow model-specific instructions for cleaning, service and periods of non-use. Ask who handles warranty and paid maintenance, what consumables are required, and which tasks belong to the homeowner before agreeing.
How the softener fits the package
The advertised $2,999* is for the complete softener plus under-sink RO package with standard installation; it is not a standalone softener price. Review the written equipment list, installation scope, applicable taxes, permit responsibility and any additional work before purchase.
Whole-home pre-filtration and UV water treatment are optional, separately priced additions. They are not required parts of the advertised package and should be selected only for a defined concern and compatible water conditions. Sending the form starts a conversation; it does not book installation or collect payment.
