RO and softening are different processes. A softener addresses hardness throughout the plumbing it serves; RO treats a smaller stream for drinking and cooking. This page does not claim that Windermere utility water is unsafe or that an unspecified RO system removes every substance.

Feed-water pressure, temperature, dissolved solids, membrane condition and household demand affect production and efficiency. Ask for the selected system’s operating requirements, storage capacity and documented performance rather than relying on a universal gallons-per-day claim.

Reverse osmosis produces a treated stream and a reject-water stream sent to a suitable drain. Review the selected model’s efficiency information and expected use. If your home has a private well or a specific water concern, appropriate testing and additional treatment may be needed before equipment is chosen.

Standard installation requires suitable under-sink space, compatible accessible plumbing, an acceptable faucet location and drain access. Some layouts, countertop materials, existing fixtures or difficult access can require nonstandard work. Those items are reviewed and quoted before agreement.

The advertised $2,999* covers the whole-home salt-based softener, under-sink RO and standard installation for a suitable utility-water home. It is not a standalone RO price. The written quote should identify both systems, included installation work, applicable taxes and any nonstandard items.
